Pigeon Toe Abstract Ring Dishes Multi

A playful mosaic-like layering technique of tinted porcelain shapes renders randomly-patterned colorblocked slabs with each piece. Originally conceived as a way to use up colored scrap, each object’s pattern is a one-of-a-kind. The abstract ring dish is cut and shaped into it’s gently curved profile by hand.

After learning how to throw in fourth grade, designer Lisa Jones spent a lifetime avoiding pottery. From graphic design to marketing to video installation, Jones steered clear from life in craft until her longing to work with her hands took her full-circle, back to her days as a 9-year-old ceramicist. With an aversion to fast-paced and mass-produced goods, Lisa formed Pigeon Toe and introduces a new collection twice per year, collaborating with other local makers to round out her ceramic designs.

With a focus on craft, handmade and homespun goods, each Pigeon Toe piece represents a story woven with rich heritage. Featuring artisan objects that transcend trends, each piece is an attempt to redefine a new age of homegrown, grassroots aesthetics. Pigeon Toe’s designs are naturally imperfect, casually irreverent and playfully charming. Throwing clay to make objects with a story is how Pigeon Toe is redefining American made.
